Ramin Haerizadeh (born 1975, Tehran), Rokni Haerizadeh (born 1978, Tehran) and Hesam Rahmanian (born 1980, Knoxville) have lived and worked together in Dubai since 2009. Their first collaborative exhibition, I Put It There You Name It (2012), recreated the delirious atmosphere of their Dubai home in a gallery context through painted floors, assemblage, and unique collaboratively created objects. In 2014, the collective was invited to participate in the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation's residency programme in Captiva, Florida. The works created as part of the residency were exhibited at Gallery Isabelle van den Eynde in March 2014, which took the visual direction of their first collaborative exhibition and used a similar stance to outline a vision of how collaboration can be a polymorphous and unfixed process. In 2015, they presented their first solo museum show in the US at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), Boston. That same year, they were awarded the 2nd Hans Nefkens Foundation-MACBA Award, which garnered them a solo exhibition at MACBA in Barcelona in 2017. Otherwise the collective has mounted installations at Kunsthalle Zurich, Switzerland; Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art, Copenhagen; Callicoon Fine Arts, New York; the 8th Asia Pacific Triennial, Brisbane, Australia; the 9th Liverpool Biennial, United Kingdom; the 2018 Busan Biennale, South Korea; Officine Grandi Riparazioni (OGR), Turin; the Frye Art Museum, Seattle; and Powerhouse Museum, New South Wales. A monograph of their work, Ramin Haerizadeh Rokni Haerizadeh Hesam Rahmanian, edited by Tina Kukielski, was published in 2015 by Mousse Publishing. In 2017, the collective participated in the 57th Venice Biennale in the National Pavilion of the United Arab Emirates. Their work can be found in the public collections of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), CA; and Le Centre National des Artes Plastiques, France; and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Copenhagen. In 2020, they will have a solo exhibition at SCHIRN Kunsthalle, Frankfurt; and the Hayward Gallery, London.
