Underdonk is pleased to announce the opening of “Onion By The Ocean”, a grouping of sculpture by thirty-two artists.
Placed atop a gridded table, these aesthetically dissonant sculptures, alike in their diminutive scale, juxtapose a broad range of styles, such as abstract, animal forms, cosmological, figuration, found objects, grotesque, portraiture, and symbolic. The grid operates as a module for displaying the simultaneity of being, as the individual assertions of each work are either sublimated, altered, or punctuated by proximity.

By gathering these thirty two works and installing them together on a grid, the installation becomes a new reality, encompassing multiple interpretations.
